Project benefits

The OLGA project will help mitigate the environmental impact of the aviation sector. It will develop innovative sustainable measures for:

  • reducing both airside and landside emissions;
  • improving energy efficiency;
  • improving air quality;
  • improving biodiversity;
  • improving waste management.

These solutions support the European Union’s (EU) carbon neutrality ambition and aim to improve quality of life.

EnTReC main contribution

  • Reducing landside emissions,
  • Bus fleet management,
  • Traffic flow optimisation,
  • Autonomous landside mobility,
  • Waste as alternative fuel for bioNGV buses;
  • Improving waste management: Implementation of bio fuel, extracted and provided from local landfill, as a fuel for CNG buses;
  • Improving energy efficiency: Implementation of an innovative lighting system in the terminals and runways.
