Workshop on Policy Recommendation to increase the implementation of energy efficiency measures in SMEs

In the context of SMEmPower Efficiency H2020 project implementation (www.smempower.com)  the 2nd targeted Romanian Workshop was held on April 7, 2022 at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. This workshop corresponds to Work Package 6 (WP6) – Institutional Dimension – Dissemination, Communication and Capitalization.

The objectives of this 2nd Workshop were: (1) to present to attendees the SMEmPower project and its actions, alongside with the current identified national barriers and the actual situation related to the implementation of energy efficiency measures in SMEs; (2) to identify mechanisms which can support SMEs towards the implementation of energy efficiency improvement actions; (3) to create the framework for discussions related to the Policy Recommendation to increase the implementation of energy efficiency measures in SMEs; (4) to create a networking opportunities for all participants; and (5) to identify suggestions for SMEmPower Efficiency sustainability.

The workshop created the framework for Romanian project partners, SMEs and policy makers to convene and exchange knowledge and experiences regarding energy efficiency actions. Participants, experts from various fields of energy sector, have shared their knowledge and exchanged different points of view. This was a very interesting open-dialogue event, offering the opportunity that all the participants express their perspectives.

Among other very useful ideas and outputs, the generally accepted conclusion of all participants was the usefulness and necessity of such discussion meetings. These can certainly lead to constructive actions to support energy efficiency projects in all areas, not just at SMEs level.
